With such a small town options are limited. However, it makes these options all the more fun.

Bowling at the Uvalde Bowling Center with league play, tournaments, and birthday parties.

The Janey Slaughter Briscoe, Grand Opera House where there is no better place to experience theater in all its rich variety.

Current release movies can be seen at the Forum 6. Matinee and evening rates are very affordable.

Uvalde is also home to two fine museums:

The Aviation Museum at Garner Field which is located at the Uvalde Municipal Airport, pays homage to America's aviation history, as well as local and regional contributions. The museum is appropriately housed in a former aircraft hangar and includes World War II historic objects as well as aircraft. Call (830) 278-2552 for more information.

The Briscoe-Garner Museum is dedicated to the remarkable lives of John Nance "Cactus Jack" Garner and Dolph Briscoe, both Uvalde natives and historically important political figures from Texas. The Briscoe Center plans to maintain the existing exhibit space devoted to Garner on the museum's first floor, and create new exhibits dedicated to Briscoe on the second floor, which previously had been closed to the public.
